Don't let the steep slopes scare you away: there's plenty of great beginner and intermediate skiing in Jackson Hole. Look for the Teewinot and Casper lifts at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, the Rafferty lift at Snow King, and the Shoshone lift at Grand Targhee. We recommend taking lessons from the ski school at one of those great hills - they'll have you stepping up to more advanced terrain in no time. When your kids grow up skiing in Jackson Hole they'll be able to ski anywhere!

There are three major ski resorts close by: Snow King Mountain Resort is in the town of Jackson, and Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is 12 miles away in Teton Village. If you drive 45min up an over Teton Pass you'll get to Grand Targhee Resort.

Absolutely! Some of the earliest snowboarding was done here and there is a great local snowboarding community. JH locals respect the person based on their skills, not what they have on their feet. There's no animosity or discrimination against one-plankers.
Generally the ski season starts after Thanksgiving and goes through the beginning of April. Snowfall varies a lot from year to year but February is generally the snowiest month here.
